Travel 

Fly into Kahului (OGG). We strongly suggest renting a car as taxi/ uber / lyft is generally unreliable. 

Lodging

Maui has a lot to offer for any type of vacation!  South Maui  has amazing beaches & sunny weather. We recommend Kihei for the best airbnb deals & close proximity to the wedding  (30 min drive) or Wailea for more upscale accommodations & quieter neighborhoods. . . We love the north shore for its rugged beaches, fewer crowds & jungle. Paia/ Haiku will have some good airbnb options (15-20 min). . . On the West side,  Lahaina/ Kaanapali has many more resorts  & great weather if you don't mind a longer drive to the wedding (1+ hour). . .  Last but not least, Upcountry (where we live!) is nice for those who prefer to experience Maui's farmland & cooler temperatures, and Kula has a couple cute B&Bs.  Our wedding will be during the day in Makawao.
